Skilled Trade Exploration Program
Have you ever been curious about exploring a career in a skilled trade? If the answer is “yes” and you are in Grade 11 or 12, then you are encouraged to apply for Richmond School District’s one-week Skilled Trade Exploration Program called “STEP”. Come “step into the shoes” of a carpenter, plumber, electrician or painter at the Richmond School District Works Yard. Applications for this exciting work experience program are available from your Career Information Advisor or counsellor. Deadline to submit your application is outlined in the application and poster below (due to the School Board Office on Granville Avenue). - provide their own CSA approved steel-toed boots
- provide their Social Insurance Number
- have their own bank account (cannot be a parent's account)
