HSCI 1115 - Intro to Health Sciences (KPU)
Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) - take KPU COURSE Intro to Health Sciences 1115 this summer (with culminating work in Fall)!

- Students will be introduced to the multifaceted field of health science and the foundations of promoting health and wellness. They will explore concepts of health science from a variety of perspectives including biological, clinical, cultural, environmental, political and socioeconomic. Students will examine the Canadian health system and strategies that promote health and wellness in the community.
If you are considering pursuing post-secondary education and/or a career in health care or the medical field, this dual credit course is transferrable, meets the admission requirements for a number of post-secondary programs in Health Care, and SD38 will PAY the TUITION!
Dual Credit Application is due by March 9th, 2027 and will found here in the fall of 2026. (PLAN AHEAD...Do not submit to your counsellor or put in school mail on this date; must arrive at the SD38 Career Programs Office by this date. See detailed instructions on the application form).
- Open to students who will be in grade 11 or 12 next year. This KPU course tuition will paid by SD38 and students earn three KPU credits AND four Gr. 12 high school credits toward graduation. This course is university transferable. While International students may apply for this course, priority will be given to applicants who are Canadian Citizens or who hold valid Permanent Residency.
