Richmond RCMP Youth Academy

RCMP photoThe 5th annual Richmond RCMP Youth Academy will be taking place in Richmond in Summer of 2026.  It will run from August 10-15 (with the graduation on Saturday, August 15).  Applications, interviews and fitness testing all make up the application process.  Applications will be available by late February here and on your high school Career Programs slatboard in or near your school counsellors' office. 

The Richmond RCMP Youth Academy provides:

  • an immersive five-day day training camp and is being held for one week in summer
  • a unique opportunity for successful applicants currently in grades 10-12
  • first hand experience in policing through real-world scenarios modelling police training in a safe and controlled environment
  • opportunities to learn about police duties, the legal system, criminal justice, fitness, teamwork, organization, public speaking, self-reliance, and discipline
