Program Description

Students start their program FULL TIME in February (semester 2) at KPU (Surrey Campus) with the following MELVILLE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS courses:

  • MRKT 1199  – Introduction to Marketing
  • CMNS 1140  – Introduction to Professional Communications
  • BUSI 1215  – Organizational Behaviour
  • ACCT 1110  – Introduction to Financial Accounting

What are the benefits?

  • The school district will pay your tuition for your program if you are accepted!
  • All other expenses including textbooks, supplies, and travel will be responsibility of the student.
  • You have the potential to earn 4 high school courses (16 senior credits towards graduation) and 4 post-secondary courses, which are university transferable!
  • Complete your degree a semester early!
  • Start on your career while in high school (be a semester ahead)!

What do I need prior to program start?

  • Ability to work independently, distance learn and work in a group
  • Excellent attendance
  • Completion of English 12 (67% or higher)
  • Completion of Math 11 (67% or higher)
  • Be registered in a Richmond SD38 school in the school year you are taking the program
  • An application form: see the Career Programs slat board at your school or click on the link near the top of this page

When do I start?

  • Accepted students start full time in February (applications are due the year before as the post secondary seats need to be reserved ahead of time)
  • This program runs to the end of June
