Auto Collision & Refinishing (Common Core) Program

Auto Collision & Refinishing Repair (Common Core)

The SD38 Youth Train in Trades Auto Collision and Refinishing Foundation program offers students an opportunity to receive the COMMON CORE technical training in these two trades (harmonized).  Once this 35-week program is complete, students decide whether to take level 2 in Auto Collision or Auto Refinishing. (Eventually, both may be completed.)  Students acquire practical experience in Vancouver Community College’s (VCC) professional auto-collision shop.  Students gain skills in body welding, fitting, sheet metal and electrical repair.  As well, Youth TRAIN in Trades students learn about auto body refinishing and basic paint technology.
